Like any group, for the most part, what you get out of your Cigar Ring is dependent upon what you put into it.   But the nature of our community does offer some special characteristics that should resonate with any philanthropic-minded cigar lover.

Democratic Decision-Making

Your voice matters. As a Ring member in good standing, you participate in deciding where your collective contributions go. One member, one vote*. Whether you’ve been in the Ring for one month or ten years, your opinion carries equal weight when it’s time to select the nonprofit your Ring will support.

More Than Meetings

Between formal gatherings, your Ring’s online community keeps you connected. Share cigar recommendations, discuss potential causes for future consideration, get to know fellow members, and participate in ongoing conversations about what matters most. Many members say the digital community is where the deepest bonds take root.

Education and Engagement

Many Rings invite nonprofit leaders to present at meetings, visit organizations under consideration, or volunteer together at supported causes. You’re not just writing checks—you’re learning about real challenges and real solutions in your community or area of interest.

Fellowship That Matters

The cigars you share with your Ring taste better because they’re part of something meaningful. The conversations go deeper because they’re about impact, not just flavor profiles. The friendships last because they’re built on shared values and shared action.

Light Up Change.

Together.
